Planning a Gatlinburg Wedding can be easy and stress free if you take a little time to think things through. It also helps to get some advice from a Gatlinburg Wedding Planner who lives in the Smoky Mountains, knows the area and knows the best wedding vendors.
Talia Sisson is a certified wedding coordinator who works at Bluff Mountain Inn, a Gatlinburg Wedding Venue, and has also worked in conjunction with other planners in the area. Here are a few of her tips for a perfect wedding day.
1. Dress for success! There is no shortage of outlets for gorgeous wedding dresses these days. Shops like David’s Bridal are everywhere and you can have experts help you with fitting and caring for the dress. And while a beautiful long train might look lovely when you’re walking down the aisle of a cathedral, it might not be the best choice for a outdoor wedding. We certainly wouldn’t discourage your from buying the dress of your dreams but remember when you’re walking in the woods to get that wonderful shot you saw on Pinterest that your dress might be picking up some unwanted sticks and stickers along the way. Just something to consider.
Also those to-die-for 5 inch heels are gonna look great on you! However, having a pair of cute flats to slip in and out of for the wedding portrait time could be a life saver. (Your feet might thank you toward the end of the reception too.)
2. Listen to mother nature! Most Gatlinburg wedding venues have backup plans incase of inclement weather, but guest have been known to skip out early from hotter-than-hot summer tent weddings or improperly heated winter loft receptions. Maybe while shopping for wedding goodies at Hobby Lobby and Target, just take a peek at the cute and festive selection of umbrellas or fun blankets to give out as gifts to your guest for those winter weddings or rainy summer nights! It can make for some fun photos either way!
3.Take one step at a time. Put together a wedding planning schedule and do things one by one, in logical order, so you don’t take on too much too fast and end up with everything snowballing around you. Don’t hire vendors before you’ve confirmed your date or your Gatlinburg wedding venue.
Finding an all-inclusive Gatlinburg Wedding venue is an excellent idea. Brides and grooms who work busy schedules might not have the time to dedicate to planning a wedding on their own. If your all-inclusive venue that includes a wedding planner/coordinator, reliable wedding vendors such as photographers, caterers, florists and bakers that can relieve a lot of the stress involved in the planning process.
